Second Line gives you a dedicated business phone number for two-way, conversational text messaging with your own clients and contacts. By using Second Line, you agree to this policy.
Permitted use
You may use Second Line to have real, two-way conversations with people who have contacted you first or who have given you their phone number and agreed to be texted. Typical use includes scheduling, follow-ups, confirmations, answering questions, and customer support.
You must not use Second Line for
- Marketing blasts or bulk promotional messaging. Second Line is for conversations, not campaigns.
- Lead generation or cold outreach. Do not text people who did not contact you or share their number with you. Do not use purchased, rented, scraped, or third-party contact lists.
- SHAFT-C content: content related to Sex, Hate, Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco, or Cannabis.
- High-risk financial messaging, such as payday or short-term loans, debt collection, debt reduction, or get-rich-quick offers.
- Illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful content, including phishing, scams, malware, or anything that violates the law.
- Harassment, threats, or hateful conduct toward any person or group.
Consent and opt-out
Only message people who have a relationship with you and have agreed to be contacted. You must honor opt-out requests. Replying STOP unsubscribes a contact automatically, and replying HELP returns help information.
Enforcement
We monitor for abuse. We may suspend or terminate your Second Line, without notice, for any violation of this policy or any carrier or regulatory requirement. You are responsible for your use of the number and the content you send.
