Neuron is a business phone line with a receptionist built into it. Your agent answers calls in your business name and replies to texts in your tone, from what it knows about your work, and then it hands you a customer who is ready to book. Every plan gets to try it free.
What a call sounds like
Your voice agent
Your agent
Thanks for calling Sparkle and Shine. How can I help?
Caller
Hey, my name is Justin. I live at 112 Main Street in Walnut Creek, and I'd like to get a deep cleaning.
Your agent
And what kind of timeline are you hoping for?
Caller
Anytime next week.
It picks up when you cannot, gets the name, the address and the job, and texts you the whole thing the moment the call ends. That is a real call on Neuron's own line: ring (415) 723-8881 and hear it.
What a text sounds like
Your text agent
Sent by your agent
A new customer texts at seven in the morning and gets an answer in seconds, with your prices, in your tone. When they are ready to book, the job comes to you.
How your agent knows what to say
Give it your website, or tell it in a sentence. It reads your site the way a new customer would and answers from what is there, so it quotes what you quote and keeps to the hours you keep. You can correct it or add to it whenever you like.
If your agent can't answer based on the context it knows, it will take a message and send you a text. It hands you anything it should not answer on its own.
You can try this on your own business before you sign up. Put your website in and talk to your own agent. Nothing is saved and there is no signup.
Why answering first matters
Whoever answers first usually wins the work. Harvard Business Review found that the business that responds first wins the job 78% of the time, and only about one caller in ten leaves a voicemail. An agent that picks up on the first ring and replies to a text in seconds means the work that reaches you while your hands are full is still yours.
What your agent does and does not do
- Answers calls in your business name, finds out what the caller needs, and writes the call up for you
- Replies to texts in your tone, with your prices and your hours
- Answers in the language your customer writes in, and shows you the conversation in yours
- Answers the chat on your own website, on Premium, and puts it in the same inbox as your calls and texts
- Hands you a customer who is ready to book. It does not book into your calendar, and you take it from there
What it costs
Every plan comes with a number and an agent. The free plan includes 30 minutes of calls and 100 replies from your agent, so you can find out whether it works for your business before any money changes hands. Neuron Premium is $29.99 a month, or $239.99 a year, and makes your agent unlimited on calls, on texts and in a chat on your website. The plans are side by side on the pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a person or software?
It is software. Your agent is part of Neuron, and it answers on your business number at any hour from what you have taught it about your work.
Can the agent book jobs into my calendar?
Not yet. The agent answers questions from what it knows about your work and hands you a customer who is ready to book, and you take it from there.
What does the agent know about my business?
Whatever you give it, starting with your website. You can point it at your site during signup and it will answer from what is there, and you can correct it or add to it whenever you like.
What happens when the agent does not know the answer?
If your agent can't answer based on the context it knows, it will take a message and send you a text.
Do I need a separate phone system for this?
No. The agent comes with your Neuron business number, so the calls, the texts, the voicemail and the agent are all one thing in one app.
Where is Neuron available?
Numbers and business texting are available in the United States and Canada. Neuron does not send international text messages.
